In the Breathwork Series of workshops, participants will learn a range of breathing techniques designed to aid in regulating their parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems by controlling different stages of the breath. These practices are particularly beneficial for managing stress, regulating emotion and inducing the relaxation response.  

The Breathwork Series of workshops are designed to be progressive. Starting with fundamental techniques which cover elementary breath control and enable participants to observe and explore its effect on their mind, mood and body. When participants are comfortable with foundational practices, they can explore more rigorous techniques taught in the advanced workshops, which draw largely upon Pranayama (Yogic Breathing) and mindfulness systems. These exercises, passed down for millennia, are powerful tools which can be used to manage stress, improve mental clarity and increase vitality.

This step-by-step progression ensures that each participant builds a solid foundation before exploring more sophisticated breathing methods, allowing for a more comprehensive understanding of how breathwork can be used and incorporated into their wellness routines.

Overview

Breathwork Basics: An Introductory workshop that is mandatory for anyone who wishes to take our advanced workshops. Breathwork Basics gives participants some experience with breathwork and an understanding of how it affects them.

Advanced

Breathwork: Calming the Mind: The techniques covered in this workshop are all focused on stress reduction, releasing tension and relaxation.

Breathwork: Energizing the Body: The techniques covered in this workshop are all focused on increasing focus and clarity, invigorating the body and rejuvenation.

Throughout theses workshops, participants engage in various breathing exercises in a supportive, gently paced environment.  Attendees are asked to wear loose fitting clothing and be ready to participate in the practical exercises and will receive handouts with detailed instructions so they can continue their practice.

NOTE: For some people, deep breathing can worsen cognitive and physiological anxiety, it is for this reason we ask folks to take our introductory, Breathworks Basics workshop before further exploration.

Facilitated Groups

Facilitated groups cover a wide range of topics, focusing on shared experiences and collaborative learning. The benefits of participating in a facilitated group include tapping into a community of people with similar experiences, peer-led facilitation, and flexible, participant-driven discussions. 

Key concepts from Peer Support and WRAP such as mutual support, personal responsibility, empowerment, and hope are central, fostering an environment where individuals can thrive together.

 

Courses

Each of our courses provide a structured series of lessons designed to teach a particular subject or skill over time. The benefits of participating in a course include gaining comprehensive knowledge, receiving guidance from an instructor, and following a clear curriculum. 

Key concepts from Peer Support and WRAP such as personal responsibility, empowerment, and hope are integral, encouraging individuals to take charge of their learning journey and build confidence in their abilities.

Workshops

Our workshops oftentimes delve into profound questions, challenging conventional perceptions of mental health or exploring deeper emotional experiences that may be affecting us. Participants benefit from listening to the experiences of participants and being able to share their own experiences.
