Who We Are

Stress Recovery Coach was born out of the deeply personal journeys of our team and a shared passion to transform adversity into meaningful support for others. Each of us have faced significant challenges and a subsequent recovery.  We experienced firsthand the lack of resources and support within the mental health system. We recognize that there are others who have not had the tools we were provided in order to get through to our recovery.  This awareness has motivated us to create Stress Recovery Coach.

During our struggles, we discovered peer support—an invaluable resource often overlooked by doctors, clinicians, and therapists. Each of our peer support team members has similar stories of adversity and recovery, and we all agree: Peer Support Works. Learning tools to manage stressors, being part of a community that understands and accepts, and learning to notice and manage the Window of Tolerance have all been transformative experiences.

We have deeply engaged with mental health wellness and recovery education. Programs like the Copeland Centre’s WRAP for self-regulation and various Peer Support training programs have taught us communication skills, active listening, advocacy, and provided a deeper understanding of mental health issues. These skills have not only improved our own mental health but also equipped us to support others in their struggles.

Each of our team members brings a unique set of skills to support individuals seeking to improve their interactions or life experiences. We are a collaborative effort dedicated to spreading the word that peer support works. We are committed to helping others find the resources they need to create their best life.
